Smokey Eyes
• Apply a light base of foundation on to your eyelids setting with powder.
• Fill in your eyebrows with an eyebrow powder or a pencil. Strong eyebrows are very popular at the moment
• Apply a powder eye shadow as thick eyeliner close to the lash line on the upper lid, dark brown or grey are good colours to use, or for a really dramatic look use black. Blend the eye shadow upwards making sure that there are no hard lines, don’t go higher than the socket line, layer the colour to gradually build the colour to the required depth, with each layer of eye shadow blend so there are no hard lines
• Apply thin line of liquid or gel liner close to the lashes to intensify the colour. Then add some lashes, I prefer the individual cluster lashes but they are a bit tricky to put on by yourself, so check out the eylure strip lashes they have loads of different styles and are easy to apply
• For underneath the eye, using a fine brush or cotton bud apply the same eye shadow colour that you used on the top of the lid along the bottom of your eye smudging the colour so it looks soft. Finally apply some kohl pencil or gel eyeliner inside your bottom eyelid.
• Finish by adding a lighter shimmery colour underneath the brow bone
• Finally apply a volumising mascara making sure that the outer lashes have more mascara on them for a sweeping effect
• For a Christmassy effect why not add a sprinkling of glitter on top to give you some added sparkle.
• Keep lips nude, the rule is dark eyes pale lips, pale eyes dark lips.

Tamara Ecclestone has been catapulted in to the public eye recently with her new Channel 5 TV show Billon $$ Girl. I had the pleasure of doing her make-up a couple of years ago at her home in Chelsea for the opening of the Red Room Club in London.

The make-up look that I created was a natural Smokey eye, I applied additional individual lashed on top of the semi permanent lashes that were already there. She had a wonderful tan so it wasn’t difficult to give her a radiant glow, I used Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundation on her skin and finished with a bit of Armani Fluid sheer on her cheek bones to enhance her sun kissed look. She then applied her own favored lip gloss to finish the look

I have to say she is one of the nicest celebrities that I have ever worked with. We spent most of the time talking about my son that I had just given birth too. She was very down to earth and didn’t even want to look in the mirror to check the make-up that I had applied!

Believe it or not its time to think about Christmas and everything that goes with it including your make-up, whether you are having a winter wedding or just want to update your look for the winter party season its time to have a think about it now.

As the winter months approach you will find that your skin tone and texture will change, so it’s worth having a look in your make-up bag to see if your foundation still matches your skin colour as typically in the winter months your skin will become paler and often drier. A good tip for matching your foundation to your skin tone is to put different swatches along your jaw line and the one that blends in (the colour that you can hardly see) is the one that’s good for you.
If you are having your wedding in the winter you might want to think about your make-up trial and perhaps make it match your winter theme, some of my brides have gone for a more russet lip tone to match their winter bouquets rather than the traditional nude or pinky glosses on the lips.
Or Why not go for a smoldery smokey eye make-up with a touch of glitter to give it that wow factor.

You can scoop up your hair and add some crystals or diamonties for a glamourous evening look.
